1. Man, the old gods left because they had made the world and were pretty happy with it. The dragons hung around to make sure everything went smoothly. Man screwed it up and the dragons were "upset" so they left.

2. Why do all gangs fight? Cuz they can.

3. I assume there is, but like with mountain lions and actual lions their distantly related.

4. Togo never really wanted the whole emperorr thing, so he left for the monastary before they could pin him to the throne. And how many times in ancient asia did the king leave his massive, heavily guarded fortress?

7. The mists are like death. Like hades in greco-roman mythology or Hel in norse myths. The dead went there and faded away.

8. Really who ever you want to name her, a lucky fortune teller, a fallen god bent on havoc, some say glint.

6) When you finish the game (well, the final mission anyway) you can go to the Glint statue in Droknar's Forge and kneel. There's a few quests there, and after a few you get to Last Day Dawns and Titan Source. Those are some charr related quests. I've never done them so look them up on GuildWiki or wherever if you want to know more. Lvl24 charr ftw.

6) Im pretty sure the charr took hold of Ascalon, hence Rurik leavin for kryta. Ascalon was as good as dead when Rurik leaves, so I assume the charr rule Ascalon now.

2. Territory.

4. Togo was son of the concubine, and like someone before me said, when has an asian emperor left his huge palace?

5. the wars between guilds from ascalon, orr and krytans, eventually the guilds started killing innocent people in the kingdom's city so the kingdom's own guards started fighting the enemy guilds and kingdoms.

6. AFIK they're still there, annoying the hell out of the ascalon army and destroying what they can find.

This response contains spoilers (only if you have not played Prophecies campaign). Please do not read unless you want to have things revealed to you.

Like it was said before, the gods created life and the planet and were happy. The dragons stayed to keep things neat and clean. Humans appeared and started to mess things up. Most of the dragons left, some hung around (like glint and the Kuunavang).

Why do people in reality fight? Many reasons, its not so important as to why the fighting is going on, who started it or whatever. Consider it like gang fights, rivals for territory or something.

I would say they are the same race (tengu in Tyria and Cantha) but have different belief systems (similar to the Chinese and the Japanese)

I think Lapas said it best.

I think Elena said it best.

They over ran Ascolon, but they did not get total control yet. When you close the Door of Komali, you are sent to Droknar's Forge (via boat). There you talk to the spirit of Glint and she tells you about the remaining Titans in the Mineral Springs. You beat them and talk to the Spirit of Glint (back in Droknar's Forge). She tells you of other sighting of the Titans (remember the speach from the Lich - You will go to Thunderhead Keep (they travelled from there to Mineral Springs); You will go to Kryta (travel to Northern Kryta Province to defeat the Titans there); There is another sighting in the Maguma Jungle (Henge of Denravi); and the last sighting is in Ascolon, where you will meet with the King and help save Ascolon from the Titans and the Char. The Char worship the Titans as their gods, so with the Titan's appearance in Ascolon, the Char have become more bold in their attacks and have become much more stronger for it (level 24 Char, oh what fun).

The mist is the name used for the after-life. As Evenia (I think) stated, her friend had better not been mistreated, or the gods will pay the price. Even your leader in the battle against Hablion. Once he is defeated, your leader (could be you, or not) says that he should never find rest in the mist.

She is a mystery. Look in the threads, there are many threads related to who she is, what does she have to do with the storylines, and is she more than she appears to be. Some say Glint, others say a poor pawn of higher beings, some say Shiro's mom.

Hope this clarifies things for you.

4) Kuunavang said that she has heard of person called Master Togo, half brother of the Emperor.

They might have the same mother, but not the same father. That's why Emperor Kisu was son of the emperor and Togo's mother, but Togo was a son of another man and Kisu's mother.

Kisu left his palace during Tengu Day & Dragon Festival to visit Shing Jae monastery and his ancestors used to go to the harvest temple.

Astually its the same father and Togo's mother was the emperor's favourite concubine.

My impression of #6 is that the major Charr assault that featured at the start of Prophecies was acually beaten back after the fourth mission, giving Ascalon some breathing space - the links are subtle, but the boss you kill at the end of the mission is actually the big Charr general, which has to hav given them some pause along with the sheer casualties. Another thing is the effect of Stormcaller - it isn't spelled out, but the blowing of Stormcaller causes it to rain. A subtle effect... but it provides both hope for the restoration of the land, and also destroys Charr morale like nothing else. It puts out their precious fires, after all.

The disagreement, as I see it, comes about because Rurik wanted to enlist Krytan help to drive the Charr out, while Adelburn basically preferred to put up with the Charr than accept help. Harsh words were spoken, and Rurik was banished. Those that went with Rurik were those of the opinion that, while the Charr were no longer on the offensive, Adelburn's policy offered no hope of dealing with the Charr once and for all, so they'd rather leave than continue fighting a never-ending war against the Charr (especially as most of the refugees were people of Rin, presumably hurriedly evacuated just before the Charr army showed up). However, the end result is that after Nolani Academy, Ascalon is no longer at risk of being overrun by the Charr... until, that is, the Titans show up.

What happens after the defeat of the Titan Source is unclear. Personally, it wouldn't surprise me to find that, some time after the clearing of the Titan Source, the people of the Ascalon Settlement start thinking about heading back to Ascalon. At this point, the Charr have probably given up (they've just suffered two major defeats, in one of which not only they but their gods were defeated by Ascalonians) and the Stone Summit are besieged in Sorrow's Furnace, so the journey back would be quite safe compared to the journey there, and the Charr threat may not be looming so heavily.

It's actually one of the problems with Guild Wars continuity that the populations of explorable areas rarely change. It's done - or at least, I assume it's done - to allow people to freely go back and do quests, capture elite skills, and so on despite progress in missions, but the unfortunate consequence is that it means that while the timeline the GW story people may have probably has Charr numbers in Ascalon greatly reduced after Titan Source, Stone Summit confined to the area around Sorrow's Furnace after Thunderhead Keep, Mursaat and White Mantle practically wiped out after Abaddon's Mouth* and so on, we don't actually get to see this when we go back to old areas. For the most part, returning to whence you came feels more like gong back in time than going back to old stomping grounds.

*On writing this, I'm not actually so sure the Mursaat were wiped out. Those on the Ring of Fire, sure, and I suspect their power over Kryta is thoroughly broken - but the lore suggests they aren't native to there, and we never see any indication of Titans being sent to their homeland. If there were and we just didn't see the portal... than wouldn't this mean that there may still be the Titans that dispatched the Mursaat running around somewhere?
